NN reports that U.S. Vice President Pence will travel to Switzerland before June 21 to hold consultations with Iran on the Iran issue, focusing first on advancing progress on Iran’s nuclear program and pushing for a ceasefire in Lebanon. Pence said that he will establish a politically led framework at the highest level, while technical teams will continue their work on site. He plans to stay in Switzerland for one to two days and seeks progress in the handling of Iran’s nuclear materials. A ceasefire in Lebanon is also a priority, as the region has recently been hit by Israeli missile attacks.
