Suspicion of “covert passage” in the Strait of Hormuz: after Iran announced its closure, there were zero visible transit records 24 hours later

BlockBeats News, June 21 — According to the latest monitoring data, since the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, no visible ships have been recorded passing through the strait in the past 24 hours.

Analysts point out that this abnormal phenomenon may not mean that shipping activity has completely stopped, but rather that some ships have activated a "dark passage" mode — that is, turning off AIS automatic identification systems and other electronic tracking devices to evade monitoring and forcibly transit.
