Former EF Contributor Warns Ethereum May Face Core Development Funding Crisis

Former Ethereum Foundation contributor Trent VanEpps warned that Ethereum's core development ecosystem could face a funding crisis within the next three to nine months. VanEpps said the ecosystem needs roughly $30 million in annual funding to support more than 10 client teams, research groups, and coordination teams. VanEpps said the Client Incentive Program ended in April 2026, and no replacement appears to be forthcoming.
