BlockBeats News, June 21st, local time on the 20th, the Israel Defense Forces stated that the IDF continues military operations in the "security zone" in southern Lebanon, with the current focus on striking a large Hezbollah tunnel system housing dozens of militants. Meanwhile, the IDF has "ceased fire" in other areas of Lebanon.

The IDF claims that the military has received instructions from the political leadership to implement a ceasefire. However, the IDF emphasizes that troops will continue to work on destroying Hezbollah infrastructure within their "security zone" and will target "urgent threats" outside the "security zone."

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gantz issued orders for the IDF to cease fire in Lebanon. According to these instructions, the IDF will not immediately withdraw from southern Lebanon at this stage. Other reports indicate that, after assessing the situation, IDF Chief of Staff Zamiir has ordered a ceasefire in southern Lebanon.
