CryptoWorld News reports that Wu has learned that BNB Chain has proposed the BEP-675 proposal, aiming to remove the validator-side bid simulation process in the BSC MEV pathway. Validators will no longer perform double execution of transactions but will directly accept the bidblock, which is pre-calculated by the builder with the transaction execution results, and then seal the block for confirmation. This mechanism moves the complete EVM execution path on the validator side to the builder side, increasing the gas limit by approximately 50%, and extends the builder competition window from about 30% of the block time to approximately 45%.

The BEP-675 change is pretty interesting; builders can calculate and directly hand it over to the validators, saving an execution step, and the gas limit can still be increased by 50%.

45% of the competitive window—MEV’s vicious in-fighting is about to level up, and builders have to crank their computing power to the max.

Validators finally no longer have to run the EVM twice, but has the builder’s power grown even more again?

Builder executes beforehand, so how do validators ensure that the bid block is okay? Has the trust assumption changed?
