The US military has announced an increase in commercial ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. On June 20, the military reported that the number of commercial vessels passing through the strait had risen. The US military continues to operate in the area to support freedom of navigation. A total of 55 commercial ships have transited the strait, underscoring the importance of maintaining open sea lanes.
