Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of Nvidia, is considered one of the richest people in the world thanks to his stake in the company, whose market value has exceeded $5 trillion. However, the massive surge the company has achieved in the field of AI chips has not only made Huang wealthy, but has also helped turn a large number of the company’s employees into millionaires.
During his appearance at Computex 2026, Huang was asked about Nvidia’s pay policy amid growing discussions about how companies should share the gains of the AI boom with their employees.
Huang said, according to Bloomberg: “I believe paying good salaries to employees is the key to keeping them long-term and building a successful company.”
His remarks came after he was asked about Samsung Electronics’ agreement to grant chip engineers bonuses of up to $400,000, to which he replied: “I pay my employees as much as I can. That’s what I do.”
In a previous interview during an event hosted by the “All-In” podcast, Huang said: “I have made more millionaires within my management team than any other CEO in the world, and they are in excellent shape.”
Huang’s focus on employees is not limited to high salaries only; it also extends to following up on compensation details himself, as he emphasized that he is still reviewing and personally signing the payroll packages for more than 42,000 employees at the company.
He said: “I review the salaries of all employees to this day. And every time I increase the company’s operating expenses, the reason is investing in employees, because when you care about the people you work with, everything else will take care of itself.”
As Nvidia rises to the top of the world’s companies, it seems Huang’s philosophy is not limited to developing the most powerful AI chips, but also includes building a workplace culture that makes employees partners in success and wealth....
