Many traders focus only on profits, but the trade that changed my perspective was actually a loss.

I entered a leveraged position during a highly volatile market expecting a breakout. The analysis looked solid, sentiment was bullish, and confidence was high. However, the market moved against my expectations.

Fortunately, I had strict risk management rules in place. My stop-loss was triggered exactly as planned.

At first, I felt disappointed. But within hours the market crashed even further, liquidating many traders who refused to manage risk.

That experience taught me a powerful lesson:

Protecting capital is more important than chasing profits.

A trader who survives difficult markets will always have another opportunity. A trader who ignores risk may not get a second chance.

Since then, every position I take has a predefined entry, target, and stop-loss. Consistency matters more than one lucky trade.
