Odaily Planet Daily reports that Ubisoft co-founder Claude Guillemot has passed away. An official statement said: "Ubisoft has learned that group co-founder and Guillemot Corporation (Guillemot Corp) Chairman Claude Guillemot died unexpectedly. We are deeply saddened. During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. No further statements will be made at this time."

It is reported that 69-year-old Claude Guillemot was killed in a plane crash on Friday near La Baule, a seaside resort on the Atlantic coast of France.
