When I entered at 6x leverage, I already knew I was paying tuition again this time.
Seeing others last year holding five million yuan and a first-class Porsche, and this year being three million in debt and starting over, the string in my heart loosened, and I couldn't help but place a trade.
Rule 1: Emotions come before judgment.
When you see stories of others getting rich quickly and then losing everything, two emotions are most easily triggered — either thinking "I can flip like that too," or thinking "His explosion means opportunities are coming." I was the second type at the time, thinking I caught the bottom.
As a result, before entering the market, I didn't look at the chart structure at all, purely driven by stories into an impulsive trade. The most toxic part of FOMO isn't chasing highs, but realizing after the fact that there was no basis.
Rule 2: Ignoring market signals.
When I entered at 64,606, the funding rate had been positive for several hours in a row, and the bulls were crowded like rush hour subway. The open interest was also high, ready to spike at any moment.
I saw all of this, but my mind told me "Still can push." Looking back now, those few minutes of hesitation weren't hesitation at all — it was the market waiting for me to enter and harvest.
Line 64,605.80: Discipline is only one rule — don’t trade without signals.
The lesson from this loss is simple: don’t change your rhythm because of others’ stories. If someone loses five million yuan, that’s their own business; it has nothing to do with whether I should open this trade.
Next time I see a liquidation story, I will first scan the market data, wait if the funding rate is off, wait if the open interest is too high, and close the app if there are no confirmed signals.
Looking at the floating loss of 6.47 USDT now, it’s not much, not too little. But what I should really remember isn’t how much I lost, but that this trade shouldn’t have existed at all.
Tell me, what is the most common trading mistake you make?
STRC continues to decouple: leverage liquidation hits a new historical low. In this line, STRC continues to decouple; it and the main line of this wave of missed opportunities and chasing highs are actually the same risk preference being transmitted. Don’t just see it as a headline.
If this main line is just riding the trend, not adding to trades, and not taking on positions, $BTC/$ETH might not fall first, but altcoins, liquidity, and contract liquidations will be more likely to amplify first. #我的Gate交易时刻 #STRC跌破面值11%创上市新低 #预测世界杯德国VS科特迪瓦
