Quantum computers (when they become powerful enough) could eventually break many of today’s standard encryption methods. This is often called the “Y2Q” or “harvest now, decrypt later” risk adversaries could steal encrypted data today and crack it years later once quantum tech matures.
BlackBerry is proactively upgrading its systems so that even if quantum computers arrive, the encryption protecting devices and data managed by UEM stays secure.
