#我的Gate交易时刻
Hello everyone, I want to share my ETH short-term swing trading operation on the Gate contract. This is one of my most successful and precise contrarian trades this year.
On April 22, 2026, ETH price hovered around 2400 for several days, repeatedly attempting to break through $2411 but failing each time. Through multi-timeframe analysis, I found that the daily RSI had entered the overbought zone (above 75), and the funding rate remained positive, indicating excessive bullish sentiment. Combined with on-chain data showing significant signs of large addresses reducing their holdings, I judged that there was a short-term risk of a pullback, so I decided to establish a short position on the Gate contract.
On the evening of April 22, ETH surged again near $2411. I opened a short position on the Gate contract with 7x leverage, strictly controlling the position to within 10% of my total funds, and set clear stop-loss (at $2450) and partial take-profit plans. After opening the position, ETH indeed failed to continue rising, and from April 23-24, a noticeable pullback began, with the price dropping to around $2290. I closed the position at $2293, resulting in a final profit of about 95%.
The entire operation lasted less than 72 hours. The deep liquidity, fast execution, and transparent risk control mechanisms of the Gate contract platform made me very confident, with no slippage or forced liquidation risks. This short operation also deeply taught me that contract trading is not just about betting on the direction but requires comprehensive judgment based on technical indicators, on-chain data, and market sentiment. Being willing to short at high levels while strictly controlling position size and leverage is key to protecting capital.
From this trade, I summarized three important insights: First, during trend reversals, be brave to go against the trend, but only when supported by sufficient signals; second, leverage can amplify gains but position size must be extremely cautious; third, Gate’s contract tools (especially the take-profit, stop-loss, and candlestick analysis features) are very professional and greatly reduce operational difficulty.
For friends who are trying contract trading, my advice is: beginners should start with small leverage and small positions, review failed cases repeatedly, and never emotionally go all-in. Trading is a long-term journey, and risk control always comes first.
Thanks to Gate for providing such an excellent contract trading environment, allowing an ordinary trader like me to profit steadily in volatile markets. I welcome everyone to exchange more ETH strategies on the Gate platform, grow together, and make progress!
