Malaysia Raises Civil Servant Shareholding Limit and Adds Digital Asset Rules

Malaysia raised the civil servant shareholding value limit to 300,000 ringgit and added digital assets to asset rules. The Malaysian Public Service Department circular also caps shareholdings at 5% of a company's paid-up capital, whichever is lower. The previous value limit was 100,000 ringgit. The rules emphasize transparency and accountability for civil servant investment activities.
