SEC Prepares Tokenized Stock Policy for Crypto Firms

The SEC is preparing a policy that would allow crypto companies to offer blockchain-based tokenized stock trading. Paul Atkins said companies would be allowed to test digital asset business models without fully complying with existing disclosure and investor protection rules. Citadel Securities and SIFMA raised concerns about liquidity diversion and regulatory arbitrage.
