CZ: If Satoshi Nakamoto's address remains inactive for a long period after the quantum upgrade, the associated BTC should be frozen.

Odaily Planet Daily News reports that CZ stated in an interview with Galaxy Research Director Alex Thorn on the Galaxy Brains podcast that quantum computing is not an unsolvable problem for Bitcoin, and the community can respond to related risks by upgrading to quantum-resistant cryptographic schemes.

For the approximately 1 million BTC held by Satoshi Nakamoto, CZ believes that "doing nothing" is not an ideal solution. He suggests that if Bitcoin completes a quantum-resistant upgrade in the future, the community could provide a 6 to 12-month transition period; if relevant addresses still do not transfer during this period, they should be frozen in the new protocol, and the related BTC should be removed from circulation.

CZ states that if no measures are taken, this portion of BTC could eventually be obtained by the first person to crack the relevant addresses using quantum computing, which is not a fair distribution method. However, he emphasizes that the final handling should be decided by the Bitcoin community through voting and other consensus mechanisms.
