🚨 BREAKING:

India's Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided multiple Bengaluru-based crypto firms over alleged crypto-linked cross-border transfers exceeding ₹2,500 crore.
Companies reportedly under scrutiny include:
• Transak
• Carret
• Xpat (formerly Remit2Any)

• Onmeta
What happened? 👇
The ED says these firms allegedly facilitated cross-border money transfers using Virtual Digital Assets (VDAs) without the required regulatory approvals. The investigation centers around transactions worth more than ₹2,500 crore. Searches were conducted at six locations under FEMA provisions.
Why does this matter?
These companies are not exchanges in the traditional sense. They act as critical infrastructure connecting users, wallets, apps, and crypto ecosystems with fiat payment rails.
The biggest question now:
Is this the start of broader crypto enforcement in India, or simply a push for clearer compliance?
