Deep Tide TechFlow News, June 20th, according to Sonic Labs official statement, the company has made significant adjustments to its board, leadership, and operational direction. Michael Kong, Andre Cronje, and David Richardson will resign from Sonic Labs' board positions; the three will still hold Sonic investments and fully transfer responsibilities, but will no longer make business decisions for the organization.

In terms of leadership, Matt Visser will serve as CEO, and Kosta Kourkoumelis will serve as COO. Visser stated that the primary task is not to announce a roadmap but to advance according to operational discipline and rebuild trust, saying "I'm not here to promise an immediate turnaround, but to make Sonic improve by 1% every day and let it compound."

Sonic Labs openly admits that token prices have fallen and community sentiment has declined, and commits to promoting transparent governance, establishing a dedicated risk and compliance committee, prioritizing the community, and communicating more clearly. On the technical side, since 2026, 400 effective pull requests have been merged into the GitHub main branch, and 2 official releases have been issued. Major version 2.2.0 is in development (with 6 candidate versions so far), and a private testnet has gone live and is undergoing intensive testing.
