Iran's foreign minister may travel to Switzerland before Saturday; the U.S. envoy is already en route.
BlockBeats News, June 20 — According to Axios, a U.S. official stated that U.S. Special Envoy Wittekov is heading to Switzerland. The U.S. official also said that Trump’s son-in-law Kushner is already in Switzerland. Additionally, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Iran’s Foreign Minister Alaraji plans to travel to Switzerland on Saturday, though the plan may still change. Alaraji told foreign ministers that a ceasefire in Lebanon is crucial for Iran and holds "decisive" significance for U.S.-Iran negotiations.
Iranian officials emphasized that they hope to see the ceasefire implemented before traveling to Switzerland. The source said that negotiations might not start until Monday at the earliest, but the schedule could still change. (Jin10)
