Following SpaceX's historic IPO and its listing on NASDAQ, Elon Musk officially surpassed the trillion-dollar mark, becoming the first trillionaire in history with a net worth estimated at around $1.2 trillion, widening the gap between him and the rest of the world's wealthy.

Despite this enormous wealth, Musk did not turn to buying luxury mansions or private islands, but chose a notably modest lifestyle, primarily residing in a prefabricated home measuring about 400 square feet.

The home is located near SpaceX's Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas, and Musk rents it from the company for about $50,000. The house resembles a small studio apartment, featuring a living room, a small kitchen, and a foldable bed, with a design focused on maximizing space.

This simple lifestyle contrasts with the traditional image of massive wealth, especially since Musk has previously sold most of his real estate holdings in California, emphasizing that his main goal is to focus on work and reduce distractions.

Living just steps away from the development site of the giant Starship rocket gives him the opportunity to dedicate most of his time to realizing his long-term vision of making humanity a multiplanetary species.

While some critics see this approach as part of a carefully crafted public image, others see it as a reflection of a highly focused personality that prefers investing in technology and future ambitions over traditional displays $BTC of luxury.
