Gold Financial News reported that on June 20, in an Axios interview program, Trump talked about several hot-button issues. (Regarding the Iran war) He said that such a thing could trigger a global Great Depression, and added that his deal prevented that fate. Regarding whether actions toward Cuba would be as swift as those toward Venezuela, Trump said, “It’s possible,” and “These places are very close. By comparison, Iran is quite far… Venezuela is relatively close, and Cuba is even within easy reach.” On Israel, Trump said, “If it weren’t for me, Israel wouldn’t exist today, because I ended Obama’s deal—the Iran nuclear agreement (JCPOA), which was a pathway to nuclear weapons.” When discussing the issue of postwar power boundaries, Trump said, “There are no limits,” and “I haven’t learned this lesson yet. I know theoretically there are, but in practice, there are no limits.”
