Simple Explanation of Zeroed Exchange Account

1. Total account assets being zero ≠ no funds at all
It's just that the available balance on the account shows 0; the money may not have disappeared. Common situations include:

- Holding positions in contracts/coins: all funds are used for holding positions, so the balance naturally shows zero; after closing the position and selling, the money returns immediately;

- Pending orders not filled: funds are frozen when placing an order; if the order is not canceled or filled, the balance remains zero;

- Fees and settlement deductions: after deducting fees, the remaining amount is below the minimum display threshold, so it shows as zero;

- Transfer issues: funds transferred to contracts, financial products, or pledge accounts; the spot page cannot see the money.

2. The actual principal is completely gone
This occurs only when contract liquidation losses, spot trading losses from selling, or financial product losses upon maturity truly wipe out the funds.

3. Key points to distinguish
✅ Has open positions/ pending orders: money is occupied, no loss;
✅ No open positions or pending orders, total assets are 0: means losses are fully realized.
