Wang Zhiwen in "Tian Dao" has a "classic line":

"I no longer argue with others because I have begun to realize that everyone can only consider problems from their own cognitive perspective. Having money allows you to do things well; lacking money allows you to treat people well. Your kindness to others is like a piece of candy, once eaten, it's gone; but your unkindness is like a scar, it will always remain. Drink with sincere friends, talk with like-minded people, don't compete for who is better, don't argue about right and wrong, know when to stay silent, and sometimes retreat to advance."
