Poll: Trump’s approval rating remains at 37%, and public sentiment is still divided over military action against the backdrop of the US-Iran agreement
BlockBeats News, June 20 — According to the latest AP-NORC poll, U.S. President Trump’s approval rating remains at 37%, unchanged from last month, with no significant change amid the background of the preliminary agreement between the U.S. and Iran to end the war.
The poll shows that Trump’s approval rating for his handling of the Iran war remains stable at 34%. However, 53% of respondents believe that the U.S. military actions in Iran are "over the top," down 6 percentage points from March, but still a majority.
The survey was conducted from June 11 to 17, with a sample of approximately 3,040 American adults, with a margin of error of ±2.8%. The results indicate that despite the preliminary ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Iran and short-term economic relief such as falling oil prices, the public still has significant doubts about the war’s objectives and policy effectiveness.
The report points out that since the U.S. military action against Iran in February, Trump’s overall approval rating has fluctuated between 34% and 40%, with no significant improvement. Analysts believe that the Iran conflict and the resulting fluctuations in energy prices remain key factors influencing his economic and diplomatic evaluations.
