Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing, who is on a state visit to China, visited China Railway Construction Corporation for a tour this morning (on the 17th). Min Aung Hlaing said he hopes to strengthen cooperation with China in the infrastructure sector. Min Aung Hlaing’s delegation walked into China Railway Construction’s exhibition hall and watched carefully. Inside the exhibition hall, there was a high-speed rail simulated driving-cockpit experience area, a model of the largest domestically produced shield tunneling machine, models of the Qatar Lusail Stadium involved in by Chinese enterprises, and more—each exhibit tells the story of China’s infrastructure development achievements, as well as the story of working together toward development with the world. Min Aung Hlaing paid particular attention to engineering projects being built in Myanmar. As early as the 1980s, China Railway Construction had been involved in Myanmar’s infrastructure development. The Dinyin Bridge completed in 1993 is affectionately known by the people of Myanmar as the “China-Myanmar Friendship Bridge,” and the Dala Bridge that was completed this year is a benchmark project for modern bridge construction in Myanmar. Min Aung Hlaing said that through this visit, he learned about China’s experience in railway construction. He welcomes Chinese companies to visit Myanmar for inspections and hopes to further cooperate with China in infrastructure and other fields. (CCTV News)
