The U.S. orders Iran's national football team to leave the country overnight; Iranian head coach: We are isolated and without support

After finishing their first World Cup match in Los Angeles, the Iranian national football team was ordered by the U.S. side to “leave the United States immediately and return to the Mexican outpost.” The Iranian team accused the U.S. of going back on its word, while a White House official in charge of this year’s World Cup affairs on the 16th argued that the original plan was always like this. Iran’s remaining two group-stage matches are against Belgium in Los Angeles on the 21st and against Egypt in Seattle on the 26th. (Xinhua)
