On June 18, at the 2026 Lujiazui Forum "General Assembly Six: Technological Innovation Empowers High-Quality Financial Development," Zhang Hui, Vice Chairman and President of the Bank of China, stated that artificial intelligence is reshaping the development paradigm of the banking industry, mainly reflected in three aspects: First, reshaping the service paradigm; AI has changed the way information data is transmitted and processed between banks and customers, making inclusive, professional, and personalized digital financial services possible. Second, reshaping the value creation model; the financial industry's information-intensive, process-clear, and rule-defined nature aligns highly with the core capabilities of large models' automation and intelligence. By deeply embedding into various banking functions such as customer service, marketing, approval, risk control, and operations, it can more effectively promote cost reduction and efficiency improvement, significantly expanding the space for value creation. Third, reshaping the management paradigm of the banking industry; the deep application of artificial intelligence requires systematic reconstruction of the bank's organizational structure, team building, management mechanisms, governance systems, and risk capabilities, thereby achieving a shift from experience-driven and manpower-driven to data-driven and intelligent-driven.
