Bloomberg: After the U.S. ban was issued, early users of Anthropic Mythos still retain access rights
BlockBeats News. On June 19, according to Bloomberg, some companies that were selected early by the nonprofit Anthropic PBC to test the Mythos AI model before it was rolled out more widely still retain access to a preview version of the system, despite U.S. government orders that led to other versions being shut down completely.
According to people familiar with the matter, multiple companies, including banks and technology firms, are accessing the Mythos preview via the “Project Glasswing.” The program is a collective of roughly 200 organizations that have been granted permission by Anthropic to use the system to search for network vulnerabilities. Jon Lavender, CTO of Dragos Inc., said his company has access. Cisco Systems Inc. also confirmed it retains access.
