Deep Tide TechFlow news: On June 19, according to Decrypt, two brothers from Texas, Isiah Angelo Garcia (25) and Raymond Christian Garcia (24), admitted to participating in a gunpoint home invasion robbery involving cryptoassets, with the amount involved exceeding $80 million.



Prosecutors said the two held a family hostage for up to 8 hours and forced the homeowner to log into their cryptocurrency accounts to carry out transfers. The two have already pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court in Minneapolis to charges of “robbery affecting business activity.” Each faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and is required to pay more than $80 million in restitution.
