Abstract generation in progress

BlockBeats News, June 19 — Snap announced that it will spin off its internal generative AI video team into an independent company. This new company will be called Dotmo and will focus on developing AI models capable of generating interactive gaming experiences. One of the reasons Snap is spinning off this type of work internally is that the related R&D costs within the company are too high.

Although Dotmo will operate as an independent company technically, it will still maintain close ties with Snapchat. For example, Snap will provide technical licensing to Dotmo, allowing it to apply the relevant technology to gaming and interactive entertainment platforms. Meanwhile, Dotmo’s initial team will consist of some existing Snap employees who will leave Snap to establish this new company.
