Crypto World News reports that a new white paper released by payment technology provider Decta shows that one-fifth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK are seeing demand for crypto payments.

According to a survey of 500 UK SME decision-makers, 11.8% of merchants believe customers want to be able to pay with cryptocurrencies, and among businesses with annual revenues between £50 million and £99.99 million, this figure rises to 20.7%.
Although crypto payments are considered one of the emerging customer demands, they rank eighth among customer payment priorities asked by merchants, accounting for only 11.8%.
The survey also found that 53.8% of UK SMEs are already selling products and services globally.
Meanwhile, 20.2% of merchants involved in global trade reported that their international payment experience has worsened.

20% of SMEs are already looking into crypto payments, which is higher than I expected. Although UK regulation is strict, the demand from businesses is indeed increasing.

Companies with high annual revenue need to double their demand, indicating that large-scale cross-border settlements are the true battleground for crypto payments. Transaction fees and speed advantages become evident at this point.
