BlockBeats News, June 19, according to Bloomberg, Meta Platforms Inc. has reached a new agreement with data center developer Crusoe to obtain AI computing power to strengthen the infrastructure needed to support the company’s ambitious AI expansion.

Sources familiar with the matter say that Meta has signed contracts to purchase computing power from Crusoe at two data centers. These facilities are located in Childress, Texas, and Warrenton, Missouri. As the discussions are confidential, these individuals requested anonymity.

Combined, these two sites will provide Meta with approximately 1.6 gigawatts of computing capacity. The electricity for 1 gigawatt roughly equals enough to power about 750,000 U.S. residential households.
