Bitcoin mined an empty block at height 954,352 two hours ago.

Mars Finance news: On June 19, according to mempool data, miners mined an empty block at Bitcoin height 954352—meaning the block contains only the coinbase transaction with the block reward—with just a 62-second difference compared with the time interval of the previous block height. Packing empty blocks is driven by economic considerations; this is the most prudent choice for miners. To fully take advantage of this time for mining, and to avoid conflicts with the transactions included in the parent block, miners cannot fill the block with transactions—so miners can only attempt to mine empty blocks.
