Brazil vs Haiti — Watch Out for the “Hot Favorite Must Die” Trap Behind an 89% Win Rate
An 89% win rate looks as solid as Mount Tai, but the first-round match where Brazil drew 1-1 with Morocco has already sounded the alarm. In that game, defensive core Gabriel made multiple positional errors in his debut, and his finishing efficiency was far from what outside observers expected. Haiti may be limited in strength, but in the first round against Scotland they conceded only 1 goal, and their defensive discipline is commendable.
Brazil’s biggest hidden risk is mindset. After dropping points unexpectedly in the first round, players may be too eager to win big to prove themselves—only to push forward too much and give Haiti counterattacking space instead. Haiti’s players have excellent physical fitness; once they manage to steal a goal, Brazil can end up in a passive situation. For this match, I don’t recommend going heavy on Brazil -2.5 in the deep handicap. A smaller bet on a Brazil win plus a combo of total goals over 2.5 is the safer option. I like a 3-0 scoreline, but if Haiti scores first, a 2-1 result is also not impossible.
