CME Plans CFTC Lawsuit Over Bitcoin Perpetual Futures Approval

CME Group plans to sue the CFTC over approvals that bring Bitcoin perpetual futures to U.S. traders through domestic regulated exchanges for the first time. Outgoing CEO Terry Duffy said the suit would be filed Thursday. Duffy argued that perpetual futures are swaps under the Dodd-Frank Act, not futures.
