Golden Finance reports that on June 19, the Washington Post learned that Anthropic executives, in a proposal submitted to U.S. Commerce Secretary Lutnick, pledged to work more closely with the White House and to make efforts to address the security vulnerabilities that led to restrictions on its powerful “Mythos” and “Fable” models. An insider said on Thursday that during ongoing remediation negotiations, Anthropic has committed to improving communication with the Trump administration and to resolving any security issues more quickly in the future. The source added that negotiations between Anthropic and Trump administration officials are progressing smoothly, although there is currently no definitive timeline for fully resolving the issues. Another insider said that as of Thursday, Anthropic co-founder and Chief Computing Officer Tom Brown and Head of Public Policy Sarah Heck are leading negotiations with Trump administration officials. Representatives from Anthropic and the U.S. Department of Commerce did not respond to requests for comment.
