Golden Finance News reported that on June 19, citing U.S. sources on June 18, U.S. Vice President Vance criticized Israel in an interview for showing “odd panic” and “hysteria” over the memorandum of understanding reached between the United States and Iran. It is reported that officials from Israel’s political factions, including some of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s allies, have also criticized the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding. They said the memorandum “fails to address Israel’s concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile program, and will constrain Israel’s military actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon.” In the interview, Vance accused Israel of lacking trust in the United States. He said, “We have done very well for this country (Israel) and its government. I don’t think the so-called claim that we have reached a bad agreement (memorandum of understanding) is true, and from the macro perspective of the long-standing relationship between both sides, it doesn’t make any sense at all. Israel assumes that, among all the scenarios, everything that benefits Iran will happen—and it will happen without Iranians changing any behavior. But the agreement (memorandum of understanding) doesn’t say that.” (CCTV News)
