Golden Finance reports that on June 18th, Google Vice President of Engineering and co-lead of the Gemini AI model Noam Shazeer announced his departure and joined OpenAI. Shazeer posted on X platform saying: "I am pleased to announce that I will be joining OpenAI and look forward to working with the talented team there. Leaving Google was a difficult decision. I am incredibly proud of everything we built together at Google."
