Florida Promoter Pleads Guilty in $1.8B HyperFund Fraud Case

Rodney Burton pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money-transmitting business tied to the $1.8 billion HyperFund fraud. Prosecutors said Burton promoted HyperFund from June 2020 to January 2022 and personally received at least $7.8 million in proceeds.
