#我的Gate交易时刻 June 18, 2026, Bitcoin fell below the $64,000 mark, closing at $63,968, down 2.72% in 24 hours. The fear and greed index remains in the "Extreme Fear" zone at 21.
Just a week ago, BTC was still above $66,000. The opening price in June was close to $73,580, with the monthly low touching $59,108. From the beginning of the year to now, Bitcoin has dropped about 25%.
In such a market, I want to share a major cognitive shift that changed my perspective the most: from "holding on to death" to "admitting mistakes."
My previous self, if the trade went against me after opening, my first reaction was always "Hold on a bit longer, it will rebound soon." The result was often turning small losses into big holes. When BTC dropped to $59,000 in early June 2026, many people around me were still holding long positions, thinking "It can't fall further." And what happened? The price continued to decline, and liquidations happened wave after wave.
During that period, in the 24 hours on Gate, hundreds of millions of dollars in liquidations occurred, with long positions accounting for over 70%. High leverage long positions triggered chain liquidations, amplifying the short-term decline.
I later learned one thing: if you judge wrong, admit it and exit immediately. No shame. The real shame is to stubbornly hold on when you're wrong, and finally be forced out by the market.
My current trading strategy on Gate is very simple:
· For long-term positions, use a DCA strategy to build positions gradually, not aiming to buy at the lowest point. No one can precisely buy at the bottom or sell at the top.
· For short-term trading, wait for confirmation signals, such as breaking resistance or clearly testing support before entering. No chasing the rise or killing the dip.
· Strictly follow stop-loss discipline, setting stop-loss levels in advance for every trade.
To newcomers, I want to say: let go of the mindset of "perfect entry points." What matters is your trading plan and position management, not "whether it's the lowest price." The market will always give you opportunities, as long as you survive until that day.
