BlockBeats news, June 18 — Hsiao-Wei Wang, the first Chinese executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, announced her resignation today. In her announcement, she stated, "Deciding to prioritize personal life and future direction. Now is the right time to step back from the spotlight, and I am still contemplating my next move."

In response, Vitalik Buterin highly praised Hsiao-Wei Wang's contributions, calling her "a steadfast contributor to the Ethereum ecosystem for ten years," and expressed "looking forward to her upcoming adventures."

On March 10, 2025, the Ethereum Foundation (EF) announced that Hsiao-Wei Wang (Chinese name Wang Xiaowei) was promoted to the board of directors, becoming the first Chinese leader to be promoted from the technical grassroots to the EF board in its seven-year history.
