CryptoWorld News reports that the Algorand Foundation has unveiled its roadmap, planning to achieve quantum-resistant blockchain capabilities by the end of 2027.

The roadmap outlines upgrades starting from 2026, including the introduction of post-quantum accounts, multi-signature wallets, and staking support, with subsequent phases focusing on network core components.
The Algorand Foundation stated that this roadmap builds on work initiated in 2022, aiming to achieve widespread quantum resilience by the end of 2027, and expects to reach this milestone before NIST deprecates certain traditional cryptographic standards, three years ahead of the timeline set by the U.S. National Security Agency for national security systems.

Algorand’s quantum defense rollout is quite forward-looking, and the 2027 node milestone is cleverly locked in.
