Abstract generation in progress
The Coin World news reports that the G7 leaders, at the summit held in Évian-les-Bains, France, issued a statement calling for joint action against North Korea's cryptocurrency thefts and cybercrimes. The statement expressed "deep concern" over North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs and pointed out that the United Nations and security researchers have linked North Korea's cryptocurrency theft activities to funding these weapons programs. Recent major attack incidents, such as the April exploitation of the Drift Protocol vulnerability worth approximately $285 million and the June 3 hacking of Humanity Protocol for $36 million, are both suspected to be related to North Korea. Chainalysis data shows that North Korean hackers have stolen at least $2 billion in cryptocurrency from 2025, bringing the total attributed to North Korean-related hackers' thefts to at least $6.75 billion.

Chainalysis data has always been conservative; the actual numbers might be even more exaggerated. How much can the G7 freeze?

285 million + 36 million, reaching 200 million by the middle of 2025, this speed is too outrageous

Joint crackdown? Let's first implement regulations on mixers; for now, everyone is doing their own thing.

The G7 has finally started to address this issue, but they can't recover the 6.75 billion. Is shouting slogans useful?
