#沃什首次FOMC维持利率,放弃前瞻指引 450 million liquidation.
Longs lost 320 million.
Shorts only 130 million.
Which means within 24 hours, the bulls were pressed to the ground and rubbed 2.46 times.
When I saw this set of data, my first reaction was "Someone else is worse off than me."
Then I scrolled down and saw the largest single liquidation—Hyperliquid-$BTC: 64,004.10.
A one-shot.
I'm convinced.
This market isn't the first time. Earlier, when the FOMC opened in the early morning, Wosh directly abandoned the forward guidance, saying "Inflation is far above 2%," and the market priced based on real economy.
In plain language: no rate hikes, but no illusions either.
So $BTC dropped directly to 64,004, down 2%.
$ETH 1,735, $SOL 70.9, $XRP earlier.
None of them could stand up.
Longs have endured so long, thinking that no change in interest rates is good news, but when rates didn't move, the words were sharper than a knife.
In the dot plot, 9 people said they would raise interest rates, with 1 even calling for 3 hikes within the year.
How can that be optimistic?
Back to this liquidation data.
$BTC alone lost 130 million, nearly 30%.
$ETH is not to be outdone, 120 million.
The two main beliefs are liquidated simultaneously, with highly consistent directions, indicating it's not retail traders gambling blindly, but institutional-level big players being forced to deleverage.
What I care about most isn't the amount, but the structure.
Long liquidations are 2.46 times the short liquidations.
What does this mean?
It indicates that before this decline, the market consensus was almost unanimously bullish. Everyone thought the FOMC wouldn't cause trouble.
But Wosh just did.
He doesn't want forward guidance; he wants the market to judge inflation data on its own.
This is like throwing an experienced driver into a novice village—the road is still the same, but the navigation is gone.
My own takeaway from this round is one sentence:
Liquidity is shrinking, sentiment is collapsing, avoid altcoins for now.
Wait until $BTC stabilizes around 63,000, then see if the bulls dare to re-enter.
Jumping in now is just fueling the liquidation machine.
