She faces four charges related to illegal political donations, each carrying a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Judge George Daniels ruled that the prosecution did not promise Bond immunity from prosecution. The case stems from Bond's unsuccessful 2022 congressional campaign, with prosecutors claiming Salame arranged consulting agreements with FTX for Bond, resulting in her receiving about $400k. Prosecutors further allege that she received additional transfers of tens of thousands of dollars from Salame during the campaign and attempted to conceal the true source of the funds.
