Elon Musk comments on "When will China's large models catch up to Fable's level": possibly in Q1 next year
BlockBeats News, June 18 — A netizen asked on social media: "When is China's large model expected to reach the level of Anthropic's Fable? Zhipu GLM-5.2 has undoubtedly narrowed the gap." Tesla CEO Elon Musk replied, "Probably in the first quarter of 2027." On June 15, Zhipu officially launched and open-sourced the new generation flagship large model GLM-5.2.
Some AI industry insiders believe that Musk's prediction is relatively conservative, and the time difference in model capabilities between China and the U.S. may be less than 7 months.
