Caijing News: Since the beginning of this year, Shanghai's high-end manufacturing industry cluster has become a strong support for foreign trade growth, with exports of robot categories performing particularly well. According to Shanghai Customs statistics, in the first five months of this year, the export value of all types of individually listed robots at Shanghai ports reached 8.36 billion yuan, exported to 113 countries and regions worldwide, accounting for over 40% of the national robot export total, ranking first in the country. Specifically, cleaning robots, represented by floor-cleaning robots, have become the main export force due to their mature technology advantages and clear application scenarios, with a total export of 6.11 billion yuan in the first five months, accounting for 71.6% of Shanghai port's robot export value. Industrial robot exports also continued last year's rapid growth trend, with exports of 2.13 billion yuan in the first five months, a year-on-year increase of 39.5%, successfully entering traditional industrial robot markets such as Germany and Japan, with exports to Germany and Japan increasing by 84% and 36.5% respectively in the first five months.
