CoinWorld News, Aztec Labs posted on X platform stating that the team is investigating a potential vulnerability affecting the Aztec payment product deprecated in 2021, approximately $2 million has been transferred from an immutable smart contract. The product is the Stage 2 Rollup version discontinued in 2022, and Aztec Labs does not hold administrator keys or have control over the system. This incident is separate from the Aztec Connect product attack on June 14. The Aztec Foundation stated that the compromised product is not related to the current network or the smart contracts of Aztec ERC20 tokens.
