Israel has not ceased military operations in Lebanon; China's statement
A reporter asked whether China has any comments on the fact that Iran and the United States have reached a first-phase memorandum of understanding, while at the same time, Israel has not ceased its military operations in Lebanon, and Iran has publicly stated that this could undermine the implementation of the first-phase MOU between Iran and the U.S.
Lin Jian stated that the first-phase memorandum of understanding between Iran and the U.S. provides favorable conditions for easing tensions in the Middle East.
Currently, the international community is generally concerned about the implementation of the first-phase MOU between Iran and the U.S., as well as the upcoming second-phase negotiations between the two sides.
At this critical stage, all relevant parties, including Israel, should align with the broader goal of regional peace and stability, and do more to facilitate the implementation of the first-phase MOU between Iran and the U.S., and to promote the second-phase negotiations, rather than the opposite.
China is willing to continue exerting its influence and work together with the international community to make unremitting efforts for the early realization of long-term peace and stability in the Middle East.
