The AI drawing giant suddenly started working on medical hardware, and the gap is even bigger than I imagined.

By 2027, going to San Francisco for a bath and getting a full-body 3D scan sounds like science fiction, but with a data throughput of 17GB/s, it's truly hardcore.
It's just that the FDA hasn't approved it yet, so for now, let's consider it a high-end spa experience.

Midjourney crosses into healthcare and wellness: launches "Ultrasound CT" hardware scanner and plans to open a high-end hydrotherapy center
CryptoWorld News reports that Midjourney has released its first health hardware scanner, officially branching into medical and healthcare. Founder David Holz emphasized that ultrasound imaging is not just a gimmick, but a serious foray by Midjourney into the hardware space. The scanner is still in its earliest stages; fewer than 20 human trials have been conducted. Users are required to stand completely naked on a water-immersion platform, submerge themselves in water, and complete a radiation-free full-body 3D scan within 60 seconds. To achieve the imaging, the scanner plans to integrate 40 Butterfly Network chip ultrasound modules, with a data throughput of 17 GB per second. Reconstructing a single slice requires a cluster of 21 server nodes to process 40 GB of raw data. Midjourney plans to open a 25,000-square-foot hot spring spa in San Francisco by the end of 2027 to officially deploy the equipment. Since it has not obtained FDA medical device approval, Midjo
