Jinse Finance reports that on June 18, U.S. President Trump spoke on Wednesday after the G7 summit in France, defending the agreement reached between the United States and Iran, and saying that he does not want to see the Middle East war continue, which could trigger an economic disaster. Speaking at the lakeside resort of Evian-les-Bains in France, Trump said: “The one thing I hope to avoid most is an economic disaster. If this conflict continues, that situation could very well happen.” Trump said he does not want to become another Herbert Hoover. When the U.S. stock market crashed in October 1929, Hoover was serving as U.S. President. That stock market crash wiped out tens of billions of dollars in wealth and ultimately led to the economic crisis later known as the Great Depression.
